How it began:
I remember playing "pretend real estate" in my parent's basement when I was around seven-years-old. I was inspired by their real estate agent at the time. I would print out Century 21 listings on the family computer and tell which houses should be bought and why, and while my answers to this have changed, my interest in homes did not.
I've always been particularly in tune with my surroundings. I would notice how much a well designed room would change the way I felt. I have memories of going to an aunt’s house and while the other kids were outside playing, I was indoors asking about the fabric choices and paint colors.
work with me
During the pandemic, I was working with a close friend at a financial wellness company. One of our tasks was to help people improve their finances so they could become first time home buyers. After learning more about the field, I decided to make the switch to the other side--selling real estate. During this time I was doing freelance interior design work, and freelance writing and editing. I was also cleaning houses on the weekend to make ends meet.
To really know if this was the right career path, I took a job as an admin at a nearby Keller Williams brokerage. I learned the paperwork and spoke daily with top producing agents who were always more than happy to share what they knew. For the first time in my life, I felt like I had found the right career field.
